Lynn

Lynn Ng is a highly experienced cello and piano teacher, with nearly a decade of teaching under her belt. She holds a first-class honors degree in Bachelor of Music from the University Putra Malaysia (UPM), along with the Associate of Trinity College London (ATCL) in cello and the Licentiate of the London College of Music (LLCM) in piano. Lynn is a member of Millennial Strings, a group known for producing sophisticated music videos across various genres.

 

She has performed alongside renowned Malaysian singers such as Shila Amzah and Jess Lee (李佳薇). Lynn also performed with esteemed orchestras like the Selangor Symphony Orchestra (SSO), Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC), Malaysia Century Chinese Orchestra (MCCO), Putra Piano Trio, and UPM Symphony Orchestra, where she served as the cello principal. Furthermore, Lynn has a remarkable achievement of guiding many of her students to become certified teachers themselves.

Lynn believes that the job of a music teacher is not just to teach the student how to play an instrument, but also to nurture a lifelong passion and love for music in a student. Her methodology revolves around fostering a deep understanding of the fundamentals while encouraging individuality and exploration in playing music of different genres. She aims to foster both technical proficiency and an appreciation for the beauty of music through patient guidance.
