Jia Qi

Jia Qi holds a bachelor's degree in classical music from UCSI University and has nearly 10 years of teaching experience. In 2023, 2024, and 2025 she earned the Musician's Story trophy for achieving the most student exam distinctions throughout all Musician Story branches. Some of her piano students have become piano teachers themselves, and many others have reached ABRSM grade 8 proficiency at a young age, with some also achieving top scores in the Rockschool examination system in Malaysia.
Inspired by her mentor, Professor Ysan, head of UCSI University's Classical Music department, Jia Qi's teaching focuses on understanding her students' goals. She believes in the importance of practice and discipline for improvement and results. For young piano students, she incorporates elements of the Kodaly method into her teaching.
