Kuan Yu

Teacher Kuan Yu holds a Second Upper Bachelor of Music (Hons.) in Professional Music from the University of Wolverhampton, alongside Grade 8 Piano certification from The Australian Guild Music and a Foundation in Music (FIM) from ICOM. He has extensive live performance experience, including serving as a Lounge Pianist at Shangri-La Hotel and performing at various established venues across Kuala Lumpur.

His notable highlights include performing at Akademi Anugerah Negara (AAN) in 2017 and 2018, an event hosted by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, as well as participating in the Malaysia Jazz Piano Festival for four years.

 

Teacher Kuan Yu believes every student can develop their own unique musicality with the right guidance. He encourages students to explore different genres while creating a supportive learning environment that builds confidence, curiosity and enjoyment in music.
