Teacher Sonia is a piano teacher with a Trinity College ATCL Diploma and is certified in ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Performance and Grade 8 Theory. With a strong classical background and years of musical training, she is passionate about helping students develop confidence, creativity, and a love for music through her piano classes.
Her achievements include Distinctions in Trinity ATCL Diploma, ABRSM Grade 8 Piano Performance, ABRSM Grade 8 Theory, and Yamaha Teachers Grade 5 & 4 examinations. She has also performed as a pianist for Konsert Diraja in celebration of the Sultan’s birthday, showcasing her professional performance experience.
Teacher Sonia adopts a gentle, patient, and friendly teaching approach that is suitable for students of all ages, from young children to adults. Beyond her piano lessons, she also guides students in ear training, singing, accompaniment, concerts, competitions, and songwriting while encouraging musical confidence and enjoyment. She believes music is more than just playing the right notes, it is about emotion, creativity, and joy, and that every student has a unique musical expression waiting to be discovered.
